A strong thesis usually:
* identifies the essay's overall point
* is a single, clear sentence
* presents an idea worth writing
about which is disputed

Conclusion:
** May begin with a restatement of the
thesis statement
** Brings a sense of closure to the essay
** Influences your reader's last impression
** Should not leave the reader hanging and/or
introduce new, unexplored points
