TEST READER DIRECTIONS: RESPONSE GROUP ACTIVITY
1. Distribute copies of the student's rough draft to group members.
2. Read the draft aloud while group members:
(ON THE DRAFT COPIES)
   a. underline memorable words
   b. place a "c" where you make a connection
   c. place a "q" where you have a question
   d. place a "p" next to possible plagiarism spots
3. As the group responds to the following questions, the recorder writes:
(ON THE GROUP RESPONSE SHEET)

   b. Purpose(s)?        
   c. Tone(s)?               
   d. dialectical response: connection(s)
   e. dialectical response: question(s)
 
4. Before returning the group sheet and draft copies to Ms. U, each group
member adds a specific question and/or a specific connection
right next to a
"c" or "q" on his or her copy of the draft.
